Any Maurice Lacroix fans here?
« on: January 18, 2018, 07:31:00 PM »
My first watch is ML....but it seems very less people like it. I think the quality is good and price is reasonable. Is that make ML become weird in luxury watch segment due to selling cheap?

I’m not sure I’m considered a fan or not... but I do like ML watches... quality is top and the price is affordable... currently I’m owning 2 ML watches and my wife own 1 ML watch... :)

I think Maurice Lacroix is one of the most interesting and under rated Swiss watch brands out there. Quality/price ratio is extremely high and they even have in house movements for their mid/higher end pieces.

I personally have one piece from them and currently eyeing the Aikon. The more i look at them, the more i like this brand.

They spend much less on marketing compared to some other brands, and when you handle their watches, IMHO you can see your money is spent on the watch, rather than ads and sponsorships.

So, yes I am a fan.

I agree with you. You should go and feel the aikon automatic yourself and i believe you will be buying on the spot and the price is affordable

Yeah the Aikon. Tried it on today. Still contemplating it.

The price will not break the bank, but i find it to be quite heavy.

How does it feel after prolonged wear?

Leather strap not that heavy compare to bracelet... mine is strap one due to bracelet version no more stock (black dial with bracelet still have stock) I’ve been wear it today till now and feeling awesome :)

What is the thickness for Maurice Lacroix AIKON Automatic 42mm ?

Seems the thickness is less than AP, very nice design.

42mm x 11mm for aikon automatic gents... Chrono version is 15mm thicker... design wise I think case more like Hublot classic fusion instead of AP RO... but the quality of this watch is very very top... Movement wise is SW200 read the comment from other forum that the accuracy of this watch is less than 3 secs fast over 72 hours (1 sec fast per day) which is not bad for non COSC certified movement.

The latest model kinda looks like AP, the mega tapisserie dial.
