150k is alot for most of us msians.... my wife may let me buy (as investment) if the watch will appreciate over time ... but my bigger problem is that i will be too afraid to wear it out, in case kena snatch ...

True, as some watches would be a good investment (not all watches)... and wearing it always would also be scary (dings, etc). You could have a normal watch as a daily wear and wear the luxury watch on special occasion... reducing the chance of damaging the luxury watch.

150k as an amount is very relative, for some is high for some is low. This goes for the wife's view. Also depend on whether that 150k could have gone somewhere better.

To be fair, if you have 150k lying around doing nothing, sitting in deposit, actually buying some watches are not a bad move - enjoyment + return!

Anyway, as a family all decisions should be make together. If she is really unhappy, then just work it out.

yes 150k is quite a big lump sum of money, but if u plan it well and explain to her which didnt affect any of ur living expense, y not??

My wife is encouraging me to buy the new day date anniversary edition (rose gold green dial).

So I guess she is cool with me spending 150k on a watch.
