Malaysia Watch Forum will be turning two - 2nd Anniversary GTG coming up

Come January next year Malaysia Watch Forum will be turning two years old. We celebrated the 1st anniversary in January this year with a GTG. Since then Malaysia Watch Forum has seen very encouraging growth both in membership and activity.

Let's have a quick comparison. In January when we had our 1st anniversary GTG, the forum had 799 new posts and 25 new members for the month. Right now we are averaging between 1000 ~ 2000 new posts and 40 ~ 50 new members per month. This gradual growth rate is reason enough for celebration, hence we are planning to organise the 2nd Anniversary GTG in January 2011.

At last count we have over 560 registered forum members, who interact here on a daily basis. The GTG will be a good time for us to meet up and finally put a face to the name (username).
So please block out the following date in your 2011 calendar for our 2nd Anniversary GTG:

Date: Saturday, 15th November January 2011
Time: Approximately 1900 hrs
Place: To be decided later (Klang Valley)

For the moment we would like to have a show of hands to gauge the approximate number of members who will be attending the event so that an appropriate venue can be chosen.
I'm personally looking forward to meeting you guys, especially our new members, and those from outstation and overseas.

 

Update:

The deadline for registration is 15th December. So members who are interested to attend the coming GTG in January 2011, please sign up by 15th December. After the deadline this thread shall be locked. Further details of the event shall be communicated via PM only to members who have registered by the stated deadline.

Sorry if I sound confused. But the main post says January 2011, but the GTG date is listed as November 2011? Just a little confused if the actual date is Jan 15th 2011 or Nov 15th 2011.

Thanks for the heads up. It should be 15th January 2011. This is what happens when I stay up till 1:00 am to post on the forum.

Still not many new member joining except seeing luv-vintage-watch, Alex (samajaya) and welcome back magpies14

Also, we plan to do the HALAL dinner, so, please do not worry about the food (if you are vegetarian, please do let us know earlier), etc.  Just that we haven't finalise the venue as we're not sure how many member participate
