PVD Rolex Daytona...... anyone?
« on: March 06, 2009, 02:34:58 PM »

Anyone here ever dreamt of getting a PVD version of the Rolex Daytona, like the one pictured above? While you can expect to wait forever for Rolex to offer one, for instant gratification you can just flip out your credit card and order a bespoke version from ProjectX Design.

You have a valid point. Also I doubt Rolex would provide after sales support to these heavily modified watches, and to me that removes one of the major reasons for buying a Rolex.

It's quite nice.

However in my opinion, most of the people choose not to customize Rolex to PVD. I think customization made on the watch will decrease the value of the watch.

I would want one if I wasn't thinking of the investment value!

I am wondering RSC whether will or will not take in for service for such modified Rolex though.

blacked out watches like prohunter, Bamford and PXD are considered custom watches and you do pay a premium for these. I purchased a stealth mk X some time ago from PXD, and i love the design and customization. admittedly, its not easy to sell it off, as you can't bring it to RSC for servicing as it is not original. However, if you have a trusted watch shop to have it serviced, and don't intend to sell or flip in the near future, I say go for it.

these do get some stares, and quite a conversation starter with some WISs..
