One has to go!
« on: November 22, 2017, 06:01:18 AM »
Dear MWF,

Good morning and hope everyone is striving well thru this mid week!

As per subject above... One of two PAM 024 below has to go as I'm funding for an upgrade..

However, after much consideration & thoughts.. I couldn't come to a conclusion as both have their fair share of plus!

Pam 24 - T dial
*Very attractive vintage patinated tritium markings
*Fully polished case with clean bezel
*12 clicks bezel (I find this a pleasure to be fiddled with those assured clicks!)

Pam 24 - L dial
*Superluminova markings glows like a torch
*White gold surrounding the superluminova plots adds to detail & premium feeling
*Quick strap change system
*60 clicks bezel
*Brushed bezel combo with polished cushion case makes it stands out more!

Your unbiased opinions are most welcome..

Best regards,
Dex

I will keep the T dial in view of the patina markers.
However, has to be extra careful during service for not damaging the dial and hands.

Visually, the L does it for me as I also prefer the brushed bezel over the polished bezel. T dial is nice too, but non-matching just doesn't work for me. Good luck with coming to a decision.

Seems like you've made your decision. I will keep the one with Tritium dial as well, there's a certain degree unspeakable charm of watches with ageing creamy tritium dial. Good luck for your sales!

@wristalk - Yup ! SL dial now up for sale !

Figured that I can buy it back when I regret the departure of SL model. Will be tough getting the T-dial back.

Not so good to be honest. I believe it is a grade 2 titanium (no official confirmation tho)..
The slightest contact with any hard surface will certainly leave a scratch on it. Thankfully, so far all the scratches were on the bracelet & the case remain nice.. Hence, I tend to only use it on its rubber strap (comes together as well) more often. Another note is that although the bezel is ceramic, the titanium coin edge side remains susceptible. There's once I hit it (not so hard) against the grill to my house and I can see a very minor chip on the coin edge. (only if I look very very closely and under right light condition).

That being said, this is totally a tool watch which we shouldn't be obsessed with the scratches !

Best regards,

Yeah. Seems the consensus is that it is Ti grade 2, even being harder than steel, I don't understand why it is 'softer' than s/steel watches being the fact that it scratches easily.

Thanks Guys for your comment & advise. As some of you might noticed from the sales section, Ive sold the Luminova Pam 24. Reason being if i regret it, Im still able to get it back but it aint so easy with the otherwise. Another reason being the T dial has some sentimental value on it.

Cheers !
