Omega Speedmaster chronograph Calibre 3220 vs Calibre 1152
« on: September 19, 2017, 04:38:36 PM »
Dear MWF Shifu.

Omega speedmaster chronograph movement has so many different models.

I browse through the online preowned piece and second hand watch shops. Most of them are either 1152 or 3220.

Just would like to know which one is more durable and accurate?

Thanks.

3220 = ETA 2892 plus DD module
1152 = ETA 7750

As discussed on the other thread, DD module is more troublesome to service.

7750 is a proven integrated chrono since many years ago.

Which is more durable and accurate? I guessed both perform the same.

Thanks @ck77 shifu! :thumbsup:

I also notice those speedy with DD module , the pushers do not align with the crown. Squasub bro mentioned that too. It is a quick and easy way to know the Speedy is using DD module or not.

Hi @ck77 bro. Is tricomplex meaning 3 sundial at 3,6,9 o'clock position?

Sorry for the trouble. I am quite new to chronograph watch actually. :laugh:

Thanks.

"Unlike the Valjoux, which can be serviced by a watchmaker, the 2894-2 chronograph module is only serviceable by the factory. Repairs typically consist of replacing the module entirely."

Wow..That will cost a bomb if it can only be serviced by official service center.
