Jaeger is near or 100 percent ?

The extract of the article is self-explanatory "Some of Dubois-Depraz's largest clients are major brands in the Swatch and Richemont Group - as well as Rolex. Yes, even Rolex relies on Dubois-Depraz for at least a few important parts in some of their movements. Brands I know they work with include Breitling, Omega, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Rolex, Patek-Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, and a lot others. For example the chronograph part of the movements in many Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshores are produced here at Dubois-Depraz. "

It is true that  some high end brands uses DD modules to ride piggy on their base movements.
That's why nowadays I only buy watches for their iconic design.
Regards.

The only parts not made in-house by Rolex are the hands which come from a supplier called Fiedler SA and also the crystals. This is publicly discussed by Rolex itself.

That would mean that only stick to Rolex Daytona, Patek Philippe Nautilus, Omega Moonwatch, JLC Reverso... etc.

Actually, I am curious. And many people confirm that after Rolex using its own hairspring. Rolex becomes 100% in house watch maker. But Dubois-Depraz mentioned something different.

So I am seeking shifu opinions whether Rolex is 100% watch maker or not.

So this article suggests that Rolex is one of its customers. I don't see the point of this poll nor the need to prove anything. I value your curiosity and passion about watches. However, this poll proves absolutely nothing. People will keep buying Rolex, Omega, JLC, Blancpain, RM, AP, PP for whatever personal or non-personal reasons. How watch is made and the people who makes it and whether it is fully in house or not does not matter.

Aiya! This supposes to be a fun poll. And those answering True or False to dig more information and share here.

By the way, I managed to snab a screenshot from Rolex official website. It never claim it has 100% watch parts are in house actually. ;)

Fully understand. "Like the watch design" are the key words.

I would say false. Rolex produces everything in-house including their own gold, cases, bracelets, dials, bezels, and movements  with incredible efficiency and quality. This has made Rolex advantageous in the watch market as they becomes truly independent.

It's basic economics.

If I was a producer of "hairspring" and I am super focused... All my investment, R&D and resources are solely for the advancement towards producing the best hairspring at the lowest cost.

Assuming I was successful, by attaining economy of scale while maintaining the world's best quality, it would make good commercial sense for Rolex, or any other brand owners, to buy from me.

There is a saying; that there is no need to "reinvent the wheel".

What is your point there? Item 10 from the article - "Rolex Makes Virtually Everything In-House".

If you are not producing synthetic sapphire crystal or dial hands, Rolex won't buy from you as they produce everything else in-house.

They are not lazy, they are creating icon. Even Thierry Stern curious how Rolex managed to produce 800k high quality watches / year. We are talking about gold quality standard here.
