had a quick check at pavi PP to see if my name's moved up the list, was told about half in the list ahead of me bailed.

but the best part was when she told me that one fella who was waiting since 2014 just only got his piece last week.....
I ended up putting myself down for a 5712 with an Italian dealer. She said late 2019, at the earliest. .

Still better than Malaysia.

The 5711 is a nice watch but the waiting time and escalating prices are not in it's favour. Maybe the RM price tag is due to the poor exchange rate. But for 100k, a lot of other options could be considered.

Third time lucky. Got my grail 5711a at retail in London last week. AD told me it was allocated to me as my wedding gift (blame it on my dealer who followed me on IG!). Trick is to buy watches from the same dealer. Got my 5164a last Aug 2016, 5712a (Dec 2016) and now the grail in Nov 2017. Like i said. Lucky. But. The watch is worth the wait. Trust me. Seeing is believing.

Usually combo deal or good connection could expedite for it, otherwise the period of the waiting list is ridiculously long.
