Hey Hey brothers sisters and fellow PAM lovers,

Read from other forums that Panerai SIHH 2012 Models will soon be released this month, if not next month.  Very very excited...can't wait (at least I am)!
Thought this would be a good time to have a "rumour mill" on the release of the Panerai SIHH 2012 models.

I myself have put my name on waiting list for PAM448.  Tho, I may never get it (due to the limited number of production of 750 only), but at least the hope is there!!!!!  My second choice (i know should be my first choice) would be PAM422, a regular production (Historical series) which i believe I should have no hurry to get it, but for the price hike every year.   This 47mm Pam 422 with 3 days manual hand wound in-house movement is so beautiful and sexy...especially the power reserve indicator at the back... simply stunning!   

Anyone mind to share what you know and what you heard about the release date and the models to be released... This would be very much appreciated!

Unfortunately, there aren't any boutique in Malaysia.  Closest in Singapore, Thailand or Hong Kong?

I am surprised as it is not out yet even in US. Maybe Panerai focused on ASIA market first... 

By the way, Hobbit Bro you are not eyeing any 2012 novelties?  Give / share with us your 2 cents..

I believe the European boutiques are getting it first. Some of the Asian boutiques are already calling their clients advising them that the watches are coming in soon. Not all the models are out as yet.

As for myself, there are some interesting models on offer but as to getting them is another story.

All of them told me they probably wont see this until end of the year.  Spoke to my contact at KL AD too, she told me the chance is extremely slim. Well, if you are very keen, guess you will have to buy with premium later. But i wont want to pay premium for this. Pam inhouse movement is not beautiful enough i will say.

The retail price for PAM 422 was Euro7,800 which is equivalent to RM31,200.00 (based on exchange rate of 1Euro = 4MYR) or RM29,861.48 (based on exchange rate of 1Euro = 3.82839MYR today's rate published in xe.com; obviously Euro has dropped).  That was based on my research performed in march 2012.  Bearing in mind that there was a price adjustment for all the Panerai models sometime mid of this year, it is believed that the PAM422 would be more than Euro7,800.00.

But the general rule is that PAM422 should be more expensive than PAM372 as it has extra SECOND HAND and GOLD HAND at case back for power display.  Just like Pam005 is slightly more expensive than Pam 000.  Take another example is PAM 177 is slightly more expensive than PAM176.

Derek is correct that the RETAIL PRICE for PAM372 in local AD in MALAYSIA or even Singapore is RM33,800.00.

But...honestly, HOBBIT also correct as I have seen and been quoted something like RM30,000.00 in other countries.  Maybe that was before the price hike.  Correct me if i am wrong.

Update...PAM 424 available in US...anyone seen PAM424 in person yet?

448 also same as 249.  But I would prefer the CROWN with LOGO in 448, instead of the CROWN with OP in the 249.
