Doesn't matter either one.

Between the 2 lovers, just marry one of them and have an affair with the other. :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana:

By the time they found out about each other, they would have de-valuated too much to care. ;D ;D

Back to the OP, I would choose the PP between the two. However, I would not consider the Nautilus as a dress watch.

Agree on the Nautilus not being a dress watch. It's a sad case of neither here nor there. Maybe a sporty, dress watch? Still unsure how the 324 holds up to daily wear and occasional bangs from that.

In my opinion, the Nautilus would be regarded as a sporty dress watch. There are many watches which fall within this category...the Royal Oak being one and the Longines Legend Diver. As to the 324SC caliber taking the tolls of daily wear, it holds pretty well with a respectable accuracy to boot. If we are intending to put a watch up for rough use i.e sports or rough work, then I would have to add that Patek is the wrong brand indeed for that purpose. After all we are talking about a daily wearer and not a beater.

5711/1A with 324SC calibre has been on my wrist almost daily for the last 5 yrs. Although the Gerald Genta hallmark's edges behave like a scratch & ding magnet, its heart was extremely robust, & is keeping time to <-2s a day a in accurasy! Having said that, I always let it has a good rest every evening, & never wear it on threadmill, doing any vigorous sport or in the shower

Agree, can do, but not very presentable as formal dress watch. Much prefer calatrava shaped dresss watch matches with leather strap for evening do.

Also, I rather like the UN merdeka watch - looks rather cool to me

You are not serious, are you, bro Sid Vicious?

No doubt, Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronometer Mens looks cool, but, the "Merdeka" LE has really defaced it, beside devalued this extra ordinary watch! Just like the ROO "Bukit Bintang" LE, no one actually wanted it!

To his his own bro

I have been looking at some other watches which people like and i just cannot understand why they bought them. But I'm pretty sure some like certain watches for whatever reason. The one Malaysia Im not so sure but the Merdeka is ok, to me at least. However, I don't have that amount of money to blow and like a friend told, why do a one night stand and get A, B, C when you actually want X, Close eye and pull the trigger, the only problem is the CC also cannot pay the price tag  :Laughing_on_floor:

Nothing wrong with the ROO BB LE actually. Quite like it but not the asking price for pre-owned.

The UN perpetual if your wrist can support it.

I prefer the white metal version but that more to personal taste.

The PP is nice but it can't compare to El Toro. Both in house movement but the UN have far more interesting and advance features.

If you ask me, the ROO is giving the Nautilus a good fight if not upsetting it already. More dial/bezel/strap choices and not to mention case material. Fantastic wrist presence.

Nautilus is just so you can "nah!" others and show that you have the "budget".

I kinda agree, can't justify paying the amount for a nautilus when a APROO offers so much more in terms of aesthetics and sportiness.

I have to disagree on this , not the ROO, but the RO especially 15202 ,roo is too bulky and rough , no way near 5711 nor the thickest nautilus . ROO does makes me feels like a terminator  or a basketball superstar bling and the nautilus made me feel like a posh gentleman ... Lol ... That's absolute only my opinion

Between those 2 I'd go PP for sure. But I prefer the 5980 rather then this new travel time chrono or I'd get another gold rolex instead. Don't know why you get the UN.

I'll have to agree with Godzy on this. They are different watches, belong to different segment. "Giving a good fight" and "wrist presence" may be expressions which suit the APROO rather well because I always imagine it being worn by night club bouncers, loan sharks and drug dealers. I don't know why AP chose the label "Offshore". I think "Mutant" would have been more appropriate. The nautilus in contrast just looks refined and civilised (I want one.... :Praying: :Praying:).

My list above is far from exhaustive. For a handsome guy (although having a pair of salacious eyes) like you, maybe a middle age porn star.

I need to rush to get a dic to check the meaning of "salacious", that shows i am not really qualify for the profession you suggested. btw i would strongly think someone with a "half-man half-animal" nick would make a perfect candidate  :Dancing_banana:
